- Review Why You Got Into the Business.
It's time to refocus on your "why" or better yet, your "vision". It's the reason you got into the real estate business in the first place. Was it to help people? If so, understanding that helping people can be challenging. As a RARE Agent, other people will rely on you to provide direction and insight on the largest financial decision they may ever make. Therefore it becomes your responsibility to remain cool, calm and collected during challenging and stressful times. Take a moment to reconnect with the power of your mission and purpose and let that drive you back on track. - Focus on the People (not the commission).
Most leads are clients that a previous agent lost contact with. You were there when they needed help and they are now looking to you for direction. Be there for them. Prove to them that they can rely on you. Do not let them down. Take your eye off the commission -- that is not the goal. Commissions are a reward to those who reach the goal. - Identify Your Source of Support.
Who is leading you? Who is coaching you? Who are you leaning on? While you are leading your clients through their challenges, never forget that you need the same assistance. Don't try to do everything alone. Seek out a mentor or a coach. There are experts who will help you navigate rough times. And when the situation calls for it, don't forget to reach out to your broker. - Invest Time to Become a Smarter Agent.
